Ordering your jersey online and getting the right size: the guide
Buying a swimsuit without a fitting room can be daunting. Here's how to get it right the first time – and avoid the back-and-forth of returns.
Step 1: Take two measurements, not ten
Bust measurement: at the fullest point, with a horizontal tape measure, without tightening.
Hip measurement: at the widest part of your hips.
Our sizes range from XS to XL. For quick reference: XS ≈ UK 6, S ≈ UK 8, M ≈ UK 10, L ≈ UK 12-14, XL ≈ UK 16. Tops and bottoms are purchased separately at Pinua: if you are an S on top and an M on the bottom, get exactly that.
Step 2: Between two sizes?
For tops: go up a size if you're looking for comfort (ARCA bralette), or down a size for a second-skin fit (PYLA bandeau, which should be snug to stay put without straps).
For bottoms: stick to your usual size. The 80% polyamide / 20% elastane fabric molds without compressing – a PIGNADA thong that's too big won't stay on in the waves.
Step 3: Refer to the models
On our product pages, we tell you the size worn by the models (e.g., Loanie wears a L, Emma wears an S on the PIGNADA). This is the best real-world indicator.
The one-piece case
For the LUZ, prioritize your bottom size: the triangle top is removable and adjustable, so it's the Brazilian cut of the bottom that needs to fit just right.
What if it doesn't fit?
Exchanges are still possible – but with this guide, there shouldn't be any need. Bonus: during sales (20% to 40% off), some sizes sell out quickly: if yours is in stock, don't delay.
